Band Festival
The
2008 District IV Band Festival will be held Thursday, March 6 through Saturday
March 8 at Great Bridge High School. All information and forms associated with
this event can be found on the District IV website (vboda4.org). Below are
important changes to our registration deadlines. Complete explanations for
these changes were discussed at the Fall meeting which was held on September
19, 2007. Minutes of this meeting can be found on the VBODA District IV web
page (Dist. Archives – Fall 2007 minutes).
2008 Festival
Registration Deadline is Tuesday, JANUARY 15, 2008. By this date each
participating band must submit the following:
1.
Director’s Financial Form indicating the Name of the ensemble(s), number of
members, grade of music performing, Festival fee amount (based on the 2008 Fees
Matrix).
2.
Festival Fees must be paid at this time. As stated in our VBODA District IV policy: All fees (payable to Great Bridge Middle School) and the
“Director’s Financial Form” must be received by M. Oare, Festival Chair, by
4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2008. Unless prior arrangements are made,
all bands registering late will perform at the end of the event. If more than
one ensemble registers late, they will perform in the order their completed
registrations (form and fees) were received.
3.
NOTE:
Directors do not have to decide on their final program by January 15th.
The “Prepared Selections Form” and the “Stage Crew Form(s)” are due by February
8, 2008.
